Marissa is the eldest of seven children. Her interests are many and varied and often warring against each other for her time and attention. Captivated by wanderlust and a love for God’s creation from a young age she now rarely allows several months to go by without heading off to explore some new place. A knack for playing piano turned into a degree in music from the University of Houston and pursuing classical music is still one of her greatest joys. She also harbors a love for horses and currently works in a variety of roles in the equine industry.
