Tomball Classes for Homeschoolers Student Honor Code
“And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”
-- Mark 12:30-31

This is the core of our TCH Policies and Procedures and is strictly enforced.

  • I will glorify God, my creator, by showing respect to my fellow students, teachers, and

adults in authority over me with my speech and actions while at TCH.

  • My dress and appearance will reflect modesty and consideration for others.

  • My work will reflect honesty because it is my own and not borrowed or copied from another person or source.

  • My test/quiz scores will be my own because I will not use unacceptable resources or cheat in any way.

  • I will speak truthfully.

  • I will respect physical boundaries by refraining from physical contact with other students including teasing, bullying, wrestling, and/or displays of affection.

Student Dress Code

  • Students may wear loose-fitting shirts with sleeves; pants including jeans, skirts, dresses, and shorts that must fit to no more than 4” above the knee.

  • NO: sleeveless or straps, visible undergarments, low-cut or immodest necklines, cropped or short shirts; yoga pants or pants that are torn or cut showing skin above the knee; offensive writing or graphics, gang or goth-type clothing or make-up; costumes

  • Girls may wear leggings as long as the bottom is completely covered.

  • For any student who fails to follow the dress code, parents will be contacted to come to campus with appropriate replacement clothing. The students will be required to wear an over-sized shirt until parents can be reached or appropriate clothing can be delivered to them.

Cell Phone Policy
*Cell phones are permitted on campus only in a backpack or pocket in study hall. Each teacher has their own guidelines which must be honored. Cell phones may only be used to communicate with parents and that must be done at the study hall monitor’s desk.
*Students needing cell phones or laptops to study or research for a class will be permitted to do so at designated tables in study hall with permission from study hall monitor.
*Students may use headphones/earbuds in study hall.
*If a cell phone or laptop is being used for anything not stated above, the device will be confiscated until student leaves campus. Parent will be notified. If a second violation occurs, the same course of action will be taken and student will not be allowed to have a cell phone or laptop on campus for the rest of the school year.
TCH Campus Procedures
*Students must sign in when they arrive on campus and sign out when they leave. If a student leaves and then comes back for another class, they must sign in and out again. Once a student signs out, TCH is no longer responsible for that student.
*All students must either be in a class or study hall. When waiting for their ride, students must stay inside study hall for safety reasons.
*Students may walk to their classrooms only 1-2 minutes before class starts and/or when study hall monitor dismisses them. No standing in hallways.
*Students staying on campus most of the day may bring snacks and/or lunch. They will NOT have access to kitchen.
*Students may not hang out in cars or in parking lot unless a parent supervises them.
*Tobacco products, alcohol, drugs, weapons (including knives of any kind) are prohibited on campus.
Supervised Study Hall / Fellowship Hall
*Study & Fellowship Hall is provided as a service to our families. This is not a babysitting service.
*Study Hall is provided for students from 8:30 am until 12:00 noon. All students must have something to study or read quietly. Talking is not permitted unless students have received permission from study hall monitor to study together for a test. Parents, it is up to you to make sure your student is furnished with adequate work to fill his/her time in study hall. If your child will be more apt to socialize than to study, it might be better to pick him/her up and wait at the nearest library, coffee shop, or in your car to get schoolwork done.
*Fellowship time begins at noon. Students may visit quietly, and can bring board games or cards to play if desired. NO electronic games are allowed.
*A late fee of $20.00 will be charged to parents if their students are not picked up by 4:30 pm without notification of an emergency or done on more than one occasion.
Discipline Procedures
First Warning: The student will be corrected, and parents will be informed of the situation (either by email or phone call) and the consequences. If necessary, a student may be removed from class or study hall and the parent called to pick the student up. It is the parents’ responsibility to make sure that the situation does not occur again and to contact the appropriate staff member(s) as necessary.
Second Warning: Upon a second infraction, the student will again be corrected and the parents informed. If necessary, the student will be required to have a parent with him or her at all times on campus and/or may be subject to suspension or dismissal from Tomball Classes.
Individual teachers’ conduct agreements: Students and parents must adhere to teachers’ individual conduct agreements that are signed by the student and parent for their specific classes.
