Amanda Stoddard

About Me

Amanda Stoddard is an experienced educator with a strong academic background, graduating Summa cum Laude with a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies from Texas A&M University, where she earned the Gathright Scholar Award for the highest senior GPA in the College of Education. After receiving her Texas Teacher Certification, she taught fourth-grade Language Arts and Social Studies for two years—one in Magnolia and one in Pensacola, Florida.

For the past 20 years, Amanda has been dedicated to homeschooling her own children, moving nationally and globally with her husband of 22 years. For the last eleven years, she has been deeply involved with the FAITH of Northwest Houston co-op, where she taught various subjects, including Baking, Elementary and Junior High IEW, Starting Points, and BiblioPlan. She also served on the FAITH Board for seven years first as Primary Academic Director and then Administrator.

As her children grew, her passion for teaching teenagers flourished. Known as a fun yet rigorous teacher with a deep love for history, Amanda’s students consistently return to her classes. She currently enjoys teaching BiblioPlan at FAITH and is excited to bring her class to Tomball Classes, aiming to help students develop a clearer understanding of history's impact on the present.

Outside of teaching, Amanda is an active Bible study leader at Gracepoint Fellowship Baptist Church and has served on the MD Anderson Family Advisory Council and the Supportive Care Council for several years. Her main hobbies are going on dates with her husband and spending time with her family.
